Programme Assistant, IMIS No. 47033 at GS-5 level

Oudomxay Province

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Vientiane, LAO PDR, is seeking an

experienced and qualified Lao national to fill the position of Programme Assistant, IMIS No.

47033 at GS-5 level to be based in Oudomxay Province.

Main responsibilities:

Under general supervision of Head of UNICEF Oudomxay Sub-Office / Education Specialist (L-3), performs administrative and programme support functions related to the running of the field office in Oudomxay Province.

Qualifications required:

- Completion of secondary education.

- Five years general clerical work, which should have provided a good knowledge of clerical practices and procedures. Project support experience an advantage.

- Fluency in both English and Lao in expression and written.

- Good interpretation and translation skills.

- Good communication and inter-personal skills.

- Good knowledge of computer management and application.

- Experience working with Government ministries/departments at different levels

- Ability to work under stress and produce quality work in a short time.
